Job Summary:

iLenSys is seeking an experienced Regulatory Specialist to lead and grow our Regulatory & Product Safety Solution offering. This role is ideal for a regulatory professional with deep knowledge of global compliance frameworks and an interest in driving solution strategy, customer engagement, and delivery excellence. The Specialist will serve as the subject-matter expert (SME) for regulatory compliance and product safety, guide solution development, support pre-sales, and ensure the successful implementation of regulatory capabilities for our clients. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of safety certification processes and regulatory documentation, combined with excellent systems-management and communication

  • Skills, Knowledge and Experience 

  • Strong understanding of global regulatory and product safety certification requirements. Ability to interpret complex regulations.
  • Ability to manage client relationships and lead consulting engagements.
  • Strong analytical thinking with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Having experience in standards such as IEC 61010-1 (product Safety standards)
    • Lead the development, enhancement, and roadmap of the iLenSys Regulatory & Product Safety Solution.
    • Translate regulatory requirements into scalable digital capabilities and solution features.
    • Drive continuous improvement aligned with emerging global regulations and industry best practices.
    • Provide expert guidance on global regulations such as:
      • REACH, GHS, TSCA, Prop 65, EU/UK chemical regulations
      • Product safety standards for analytical instruments, electronics, industrial products, etc.
      • SDS authoring, label compliance, and hazard communication
    • Monitor regulatory updates and ensure solution alignment with evolving requirements.
    • Serve as the primary regulatory SME during pre-sales, solution demonstrations, and proposal development.
    • Support implementation teams with regulatory insights to ensure compliant solutions.
    • Provide training, workshops, and documentation for clients and internal teams.
    • Partner with business development to position the regulatory & product safety solution effectively in the market.
    • Collaborate with project managers to ensure successful solution delivery and adoption.
    • Ensure all solution components meet regulatory accuracy, traceability, and auditability standards.
Essential Skill set:
  • Hands on experience of managing complete existing product development activities (Namely Cost out, Quality and Product obsolescence) for product-based organizations.
  • Good experience on existing product development process and working with remote team.
  • Strong in mechanical engineering fundamentals
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Minimum of 5~8 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Experience in Vendor Qualification, developing Manufacturing Quality plan, Tooling and component qualification & Thorough understanding of PPAP process.
Desirable Skill set:
  • Excellent organizational skills required to manage small and large projects.
  • Ability to apply engineering principles and practices in the design, development, and verification of possible solutions
  • Ability to develop design concepts and turn into finished/product launch.
  • Mechanical design knowledge ranging from component design to system level.
  • Knowledge on either one of the below processes

    • -Value engineering methodologies and how to apply them.

    -Quality Project execution and standards such as Risk assessment, Root cause analysis procedures, DFMEA, PFMEA, ISO, etc.

    -Obsolescence management

  • Knowledge of DFM & DFA with respect to ease of manufacture and assembly.
  • Oversee testing and analysis of products to determine product performance.
  • Knowledge of various fabrication methods for the manufacturing of metal and plastic parts – machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication, and injection molding is required.
  • Skilled in 3D modeling software (Solid Works) is preferred.
