iLenSys has rich experience in VA projects, we work on performing Value Analysis (VA) for existing products. We study current products, analyze and evaluate means to achieve costs reduction, improve product function or both.
Value Analysis use a step-by-step approach which evaluates the product in a range of areas. These include costs, function, alternative components and design aspects such as ease of manufacture and assembly.
A significant part of VA is a technique called Functional Analysis, is where the product is broken down and reviewed as a number of assemblies involved or parts to assembly and disassembly sequence studied.
Here, the function is identified and defined for each product assembly, Costs are also assigned to each one and this is assisted by designing and viewing products as assemblies
