SOFTWARE SECURITY DEVELOPER

• Design, develop, test, and maintain security tools and utilities for Windows platforms
• Develop Windows desktop applications using C#.NET and WPF
• Create and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, configuration, and system hardening
• Support Windows security hardening and patching activities under guidance from senior engineers
• Assist in firewall configuration and deployment tasks (policy updates, validation, documentation)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Security, IT, DevOps, Product Engineering) to address security requirements
• Minimum 1.5 years of experience in Windows desktop Application development and application security for Windows platforms
• Minimum 2.5 years of experience Network security tools, hardware firewall configuration and Vulnerability Management.

Skills Required:

Programming & Development

• C# / .NET (Core or Framework)
• WPF (basic to intermediate, MVVM understanding)
• Asynchronous programming patterns
• Unit testing and debugging

PowerShell & Automation

• PowerShell scripting for automation
• Windows configuration (services, registry, policies)
• Error handling and logging in scripts

Windows Platform Security

• Basic understanding of:
  • Windows hardening baselines
  • Patch management
  • Least privilege principles
  • Code signing and service accounts
  • Microsoft Defender and event logging

Security & Vulnerability Management

• Familiarity with vulnerability scanners and reports
• Understanding of CVE / CVSS concepts
• Supporting remediation and exception handling processes

DevOps & Tooling

• Git and Version control
• CI/CD pipeline exposure (build, package, sign)
• Secure SDLC awareness

Networking Fundamentals

• Basic knowledge of:
  • TCP/IP, TLS
  • DNS, NTP
  • Network segmentation concepts
• Exposure to hardware firewalls (Juniper or Fortinet preferred)
• Firewall concepts: Policies/Objects, NAT, VPN, zones
• Experience maintaining VB.NET WinForms applications
